abstract A hybrid vehicle is provided that can eliminate the possibility of a situation in which hydraulic pressure cannot be secured when the vehicle is driven only by a motor while the engine is stopped during traveling. When it is determined that a condition for shifting to the EV traveling mode is satisfied (YES in S20), the control device starts an electric oil pump (S30), and whether or not an abnormality of the electric oil pump has occurred. Is determined (S40). If it is determined that the electric oil pump is abnormal (YES in S40), the control device prohibits the engine from being stopped (S50) and outputs an alarm to the driver (S60). If it is determined that the electric oil pump is normal (NO in S40), the control device stops the engine (S70). [Selection] Figure 4
