abstract | An object of the present invention is to effectively prevent the reflection of external light and a decrease in contrast without deteriorating the sharpness of a high-definition image due to a reduction in pixel size or the like. An object is to provide a good antiglare optical film, a method for producing an antiglare optical film, a polarizing plate and a display device using the antiglare optical film. A transparent resin layer is formed on a transparent substrate having a plurality of independent convex structure portions by members different from the base material, and further covering the convex structure portions so that the surface shape has an uneven structure. The antiglare optical film is characterized in that a member constituting the convex structure portion and a member constituting the transparent resin layer have a hardness difference.
