abstract | Disclosed is a metal-silicon composite alkoxide capable of suppressing the formation of aggregates and controlling the number of ligands relative to metal atoms. A metal-silicon composite alkoxide according to the present invention is represented by the following general formula (1). In general formula (1), “M” represents a metal atom. “R” represents an alkyl group, and may be the same or different from each other. “R ′” represents an alkyl group having 4 or less carbon atoms, and may be different from each other or the same as each other. “Q” represents a divalent hydrocarbon group or a divalent organic group containing a sulfur atom, and may be different from each other or may be the same as each other. “X” represents a monovalent hydrocarbon group, which may be different from each other or the same as each other. “A” represents an integer of 0 to 3, “b” represents an integer of 1 to 5, and “n” represents an integer not exceeding b.
