titleOfInvention Sample carrier with structural array for storing sample material
abstract A suitable sample carrier is provided. A sample carrier includes a structural array and a plurality of sample nodes. Each of the plurality of sample nodes is removably attached to the structural array at each attachment point and operates to carry discrete samples that may be biological, including proteins, polynucleotides, and DNA. Embodiments are disclosed wherein the sample carrier includes a plurality of structural arrays that can be supported in a predetermined spatial relationship to each sample container (eg, each well of a multi-well plate). A system and method for transmitting a sample to a sample carrier includes contacting a plurality of sample nodes with the sample. Various embodiments are disclosed in which the sample is in a solid, gaseous and liquid state. [Selection figure] None
