PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a perfluorounsaturated hydrocarbon using a nonpolar organic solvent. A process for the production of perfluoroalkadiene is disclosed. The dihaloperfluoro saturated hydrocarbon as starting material is added dropwise to the nonpolar organic solvent, the metal powder and the organometallic compound. In the reaction temperature range of 30 ° C. to 150 ° C., the starting material dihaloperfluoro saturated hydrocarbon is gradually added dropwise to induce the reaction. As the nonpolar organic solvent, benzene, toluene or xylene is used, and the organometallic compound is used in a state of being dissolved in ethyl ether or tetrahydrofuran at a concentration of 1M to 3M.
