abstract |
Provided is a process for detecting in vitro the presence of Mycobacterium tuberculosis cells that are resistant to isoniazid, which is a major component in anti-tuberculosis therapy. A polynucleotide for detecting INH-sensitive Mycobacterium tuberculosis labeled with at least one label selected from the group consisting of a radioactive label, an enzyme label, a fluorescent label, and a luminescent label, and a composition thereof . A method for detecting a nucleotide sequence in a biological sample of M. tuberculosis encoding a catalase-peroxidase gene or a part thereof by contacting a probe containing the polynucleotide with a KatG gene of M. tuberculosis.
