The transformed yeast of the present invention has an animal nuclear receptor gene and a reporter gene introduced so that it can be expressed, and recognizes a complex of an animal nuclear receptor ligand and an animal nuclear receptor. A transformed yeast capable of expressing the reporter gene, and further comprising an animal transcription coupling factor gene that directly binds to the animal nuclear receptor and activates transcription of the reporter gene. It is. As shown in the graph of FIG. 1, by using the transformed yeast of the present invention, the ligand of the animal nuclear receptor can be analyzed with high sensitivity.
