titleOfInvention Alkaline storage battery
abstract An object of the present invention is to suppress a decrease in battery voltage after standing, which occurs when metallic cobalt is added to a nickel positive electrode. A nickel positive electrode containing an active material mainly composed of nickel hydroxide, metallic cobalt, and an oxidation inhibitor is used. By adding an oxidation inhibitor in the nickel positive electrode, the reaction between the metallic cobalt in the positive electrode and cobalt oxyhydroxide can be suppressed, and the decrease in battery voltage after leaving due to the reaction can be suppressed.
