abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laminated polyester film roll excellent in magnetic tape characteristics when used as a base for a vapor-deposited magnetic recording medium and good workability to the vapor-deposited magnetic recording medium. SOLUTION: A laminated polyester film having a layer structure of at least two layers is wound around a cylindrical core, and a center line average surface roughness Ra A of a layer (A layer) constituting one surface of the laminated polyester film is obtained. The ratio Ra A / Ra B to the centerline average surface roughness Ra B of the layer constituting the other surface (B layer) is 0.05 to 0.7, and the surface layer wrinkles of the film roll surface layer portion are as follows: The laminated polyester film roll for a magnetic recording medium satisfies (1) to (4). (1) The total width of the surface wrinkles is 0.5 to 15% of the film width (2) Generation length of surface wrinkles is 30 to 500 m from the surface of the film roll (3) The height of the surface wrinkles per piece is 0.05 to 3 mm.
