abstract |
The amount of electricity stored per unit weight of a positive electrode is improved as compared with the prior art. In an electricity storage device, an electrolytic solution includes a nitroxyl compound having a nitroxyl cation structure in an oxidized state and a nitroxyl radical structure in a reduced state. The negative electrode 16 is metallic lithium, and the positive electrode 20 includes a carbon material having a sulfo group exchangeable with a nitroxyl compound having a nitroxyl cation structure. According to this, compared with the electrical storage device using the electrolyte solution which does not contain a nitroxyl compound, and the electrical storage device using the positive electrode which consists of a carbon material which does not have a sulfo group, the electrical storage amount per unit weight of a positive electrode is improved.
