titleOfInvention | Toner manufacturing method and toner |
abstract | A toner production method capable of producing a toner having a sufficiently small average particle size of toner particles, a narrow particle size distribution, excellent durability and storage stability, and a sufficient average particle size of toner particles. To provide a toner that is small and has a narrow particle size distribution and excellent durability and storage stability. A toner manufacturing method according to the present invention includes a dispersion preparation step of preparing a dispersion in which a dispersoid containing a resin material and an organic solvent is dispersed in an aqueous dispersion medium, and a plurality of dispersoids are combined. The coalescence process includes a coalescence process for forming coalesced particles, and a desolvation process for removing the organic solvent. The coalescence process combines the first treatment in which the electrolyte is added while stirring the dispersion and the liquid dispersion is stirred. The amount of the electrolyte added in the first treatment is 2.3 to 5.0 wt% with respect to the resin material of the dispersion, and the coalescence is aqueous in the dispersion. The medium is added and stopped, and the average peripheral speed of the stirring blade is higher in the first process than in the second process. [Selection figure] None |
