titleOfInvention Wavelength conversion element, laser device, image forming apparatus, and display device
abstract To stably output high power harmonics. The wavelength conversion element includes MgO: LiNbO 3 (PPMgLN) having a periodic polarization inversion structure, and the + Z plane and the −Z plane of the PPMgLN are covered with a Cr thin film 50c. The PPMgLN is arranged such that the end surface on the −X side in the length direction becomes the incident surface of the laser fundamental wave, and the end surface on the + X side in the length direction becomes the output surface. Thereby, in PPMgLN, even if a high-power laser fundamental wave is incident, it is possible to suppress destruction and damage due to an electric field. Therefore, the wavelength conversion element can stably output high-power harmonics. [Selection] Figure 3
