abstract | Disclosed are a metal oxide fine particle dispersion having a high-refractive-index core-shell structure, and a method for producing a metal oxide fine particle dispersion capable of efficiently producing the metal oxide fine particle dispersion at a low temperature in a short time. SOLUTION: A titanium oxide fine particle dispersion preparation step of preparing a titanium oxide fine particle dispersion by heat-treating a titanium oxide precursor in the presence of an acid, and mixing a metal oxide precursor into the titanium oxide fine particle dispersion. A metal oxide fine particle forming step of forming metal oxide fine particles by heat treatment, wherein the titanium oxide fine particles have a particle size of 0.5 nm to 5 nm.
