abstract |
Disclosed is a highly transparent metal oxide fine particle dispersion in which metal oxide fine particles are highly dispersed with little aggregation, and a method for producing the metal oxide fine particle dispersion. A metal oxide fine particle dispersion in which at least metal oxide fine particles and a strong acid are dispersed in an aqueous solution containing an alcohol, and the light transmittance at a wavelength of 800 nm in the metal oxide fine particle dispersion. Is a metal oxide fine particle dispersion in which is 90% or more. An embodiment in which the light transmittance at a wavelength of 500 nm in the metal oxide fine particle dispersion is 90% or more, an embodiment in which the content of the alcohol in an aqueous dispersion is 6% by volume to 60% by volume, and the like are preferable.
