abstract |
The present invention provides a method for producing a cellulose airgel using a solvent having an advantage in ease of handling and / or cost, particularly a specific solvent different from NMMO. A cellulose airgel having a larger nitrogen adsorption specific surface area is provided. A) Cellulose is added to an aqueous solution having 2 to 20% by weight of caustic alkali; and 4 to 20% by weight of urea or thiourea so that the amount of cellulose is 0.2 to 20% by weight.
