abstract The present invention provides a method for producing a light-transmitting electromagnetic wave shielding material in which production efficiency is improved, scratching and burning are prevented, and a metal plating layer is formed with a uniform thickness. An electroless plating pretreatment agent containing a mixture or reaction product of a silane coupling agent and an azole compound and a noble metal compound is applied onto a transparent substrate and dried to form a pretreatment layer on the transparent substrate.
