In a method for manufacturing an optical element made of a photoceramic, particularly a lens, a manufacturing method capable of producing a sufficient amount of a high-quality lens with high reproducibility and at an acceptable price. In the production of a green body, the forming step includes the application of at least one near-net-shape forming, in which the ceramic powder is filled in the mold as it is filled into the mold. A medium pressure of about 0.1 MPa to 50 MPa, preferably 0.5 MPa to 25 MPa, particularly preferably about 1 MPa to 12 MPa is applied either on the powder batch placed on the ceramic powder batch or on the ceramic powder batch. The molding method applied to the molding stage is selected from centrifugal slip casting or hot casting. The optoceramic includes a single particle having a cubic structure and has a purity of impurities of 500 ppm or less and a transition metal content of 250 ppm or less. [Selection figure] None |
