abstract A surgical treatment apparatus capable of easily performing treatments in a plurality of types of output modes and having good operability. A surgical treatment apparatus 1 operable in a plurality of types of output modes is disclosed. The handpiece 4 includes a probe that can supply a high-frequency current and an ultrasonic transducer that is connected to the probe and causes the probe to vibrate ultrasonically. The high frequency drive unit 3 supplies a high frequency current to the probe. The ultrasonic drive unit 2 drives the ultrasonic transducer. Each of the at least one operation switch 31 can set at least two types of output modes. The controller is configured to output the high-frequency output from the high-frequency drive unit 3 and the ultrasonic drive unit 3 to operate the surgical treatment apparatus 1 in the output mode set by each operation of the at least one operation switch 31.
