titleOfInvention |
Compositions and methods for modulating cell proliferation and cell death |
abstract |
Compositions useful for regulating cell proliferation and cell death in multicellular organs are provided. The present invention relates in particular to a composition comprising bacterial DNA (B-DNA) and a first pharmaceutically acceptable carrier, wherein said B-DNA induces a response in an animal responder cell. . The present invention relates more particularly to a composition comprising mycobacterial DNA (M-DNA) and a first pharmaceutically acceptable carrier, wherein said M-DNA inhibits the growth of animal responder cells, It stimulates the responder cells of the animal's immune system to induce apoptosis in the responder cells and produce bioactive molecules.
