titleOfInvention | Plastic optical fiber |
abstract | An object of the present invention is to provide a plastic optical fiber made of a polyvinyl chloride resin composition which is excellent in transparency and acceptable as an optical resin material. (1) An optical fiber comprising a core and a clad, the core comprising a polyvinyl chloride resin as a main component, and a tin mercapto stabilizer 0.5 parts per 100 parts by weight of the polyvinyl chloride resin. A plastic optical fiber formed by molding a resin composition containing 10 to 10 parts by weight and 0.5 to 3 parts by weight of a methyl methacrylate / alkyl acrylate / styrene copolymer, or (2) A plastic optical fiber containing 25% by weight or less of at least one of meritic acid ester, dipentaerythritol ester, diphenyl sulfone, and triphenyl phosphate.
