abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a poly-3-hydroxybutyrate polymer excellent in color tone and a method for purifying the poly-3-hydroxybutyrate polymer. SOLUTION: A poly-3-hydroxybutyrate polymer excellent in color tone having a yellowness of -20 or less, and a chlorinated hydrocarbon is added to the poly-3-hydroxybutyrate polymer, and the mixture is heated and dissolved at a boiling point or higher. After preparing the polymer solution, the polymer solution is added to at least one solvent selected from the group consisting of alcohol, water, and hydrocarbons to precipitate and recover a poly-3-hydroxybutyrate polymer.
