abstract An object of the present invention is to provide a method for evaluating a cosmetic method based on an index obtained by using a depth distribution of skin moisture content, which can be measured by Raman spectroscopy. SOLUTION: The depth distribution of moisture content in the skin is measured by Raman spectroscopy before and after application of a cosmetic used in a cosmetic method, and the skin before and after application of the cosmetic is based on an index derived from the measured value.
