abstract Provided is a non-aqueous secondary battery having a small charge-discharge irreversible capacity during an initial cycle even when an active material layer is densified. The composite graphite particles of spherical graphite particles and binder graphite satisfy any one of the requirements (a) to (g). (A) At least a part of the spherical graphite particles is exposed on the surface. (B) It has an incomplete laminated structure of the spherical graphite particles in the vicinity of the surface. (C) The median diameter of the spherical graphite particles and the composite graphite particles is such that the ratio of a and b, c = a / b, is 0.93 or more. (D) Raman R value is 0.15 to 0.25, average circularity is 0.85 or more, tap density is 0.87 to 1.25 g / cm 3 , and BET specific surface area is 2.5 to 8 m 2 / g. . (E) A pore volume of 0.01 to 2 μm is 0.05 to 1 mL / g. (F) The amount of CO groups present on the surface normalized by the BET specific surface area is 1.15 to 5 μmol / m 2 . (G) The average time from when a specific electrolytic solution is dropped onto an electrode using the composite graphite particles until it completely disappears from the electrode is 180 seconds or less.
