abstract | [PROBLEMS] To develop an industrial purification method and a production method for purifying a fraction containing a phenylglucoside derivative contained in crude sugar using only water without using an organic solvent. The aqueous solution of crude sugar is subjected to column chromatography using a strongly acidic ion exchange resin as a carrier and water as an eluent, and fractions exhibiting maximum absorption with respect to ultraviolet rays having a wavelength of 272 nm are fractionated.
