titleOfInvention Refractive index detection device and liquid level detection device
abstract A detection system capable of easily detecting the refractive index of a substance to be measured with a simple configuration. A refractive index detection device includes a light source, a sensor optical fiber, a photodetector, and a signal processing circuit. Light from the light source 1 passes through the optical fiber 2 and the sensor element 3 and is emitted from the optical fiber 4. Light emitted from the optical fiber 4 is detected by a photodetector 5. The photodetector 5 outputs an electrical signal having an intensity corresponding to the intensity of incident light. The signal processing circuit 6 obtains the refractive index of the detected object 7 based on the intensity or change amount of the electric signal. Since the signal processing circuit 6 stores the relationship between the detected light intensity and the refractive index in advance, the refractive index can be obtained from the measured detected light intensity.
