A novel sugar-binding polypeptide and use thereof are provided. The present invention comprises a plurality of polypeptides comprising an amino acid sequence represented by a specific sequence derived from C-type Clostridium botulinum, or an amino acid sequence having 90% or more identity with the amino acid sequence. A sugar-binding polypeptide selected from the group, a composite material obtained by binding the sugar-binding polypeptide to a support, and a drug delivery system comprising the sugar-binding polypeptide and a drug.
