titleOfInvention | Expanded carbon fiber-containing composite material and method for producing the same |
abstract | The present invention provides an expanded carbon fiber composite material that takes advantage of the properties of expanded carbon fibers that are extremely excellent in basic properties such as strength, particularly compressive strength and bending strength, and that exhibit an excellent reinforcing effect. An expanded carbon fiber composite material according to the present invention has a carbon fiber interlayer obtained by chemically or electrochemically sizing carbon fibers such as pitch-based, PAN-based, or vapor-grown carbon fibers. The compound or the residual compound is thermally decomposed to obtain a nanometer-sized fibril shape, which is formed by dispersing and containing it in a very small amount of matrix.
