abstract |
Disclosed is a device for applying a whitening composition activated by light to whiten teeth and a method for using the device. The tooth whitening composition includes a transparent first component that is a carrier compound and a transparent second component that is an oxidizing compound that is applied to the soiled teeth and exposed to actinic radiation. Then, it is activated and promotes whitening of teeth. Also provided is a device for tooth whitening, which comprises a light source, at least one optical output, projection means 11, 12, 13 (which irradiates the patient's anterior teeth almost simultaneously and uniformly from this optical output). And in order to hold and position the optical output outside the patient's mouth); and connecting means (which are for connecting the light source to the optical output).
