abstract An optimal radiographic imaging system is provided when an FPD device is applied to a mode of imaging across radiographic rooms. An operator selects a radiation image detection apparatus 6 that is suitable for imaging and is not currently used (step S8; selection means). Upon receiving the selection instruction information from the input operation unit 18, the console 7a transmits the selection instruction information to the selected radiation image detection device 6 (step S9). When the selected radiation image detection device 6 receives the selection instruction information from the console 7a, the light emitting unit 64 is turned on at a light emission period corresponding to the console 7a (step S11), and the radiation image detection device 6 is selected by the console 7a.
