A pant-type absorbent article capable of improving the air permeability in the longitudinal direction between a skin and a waist part of an outer packaging material is provided. SOLUTION: An absorptive main body 3 and an outer wrapping material 2 are provided, and the waistline portion D and the waist portion F in the outer wrapping material 2 are respectively provided with a waistline gather and a waist gather formed from composite stretchable parts over the entire circumference. The composite stretchable part is formed such that the outer layer sheet 21 and the inner layer sheet 22 are joined by intermittent joints in the stretch direction of the composite stretchable part and the direction orthogonal thereto, so that the elastic members 23 and 24 do not pass through the joined parts. The elastic members 23 and 24 are not fixed to the sheets 21 and 22 except for both ends, and each of the sheets 21 and 22 extends continuously over the plurality of elastic members 23 and 24. The plurality of ridges are formed from the outer end portion of the waist portion F along the longitudinal direction of the outer packaging material 2 on the entire circumference of the waist portion F and the waistline portion D.
