Cylindrical secondary battery |
abstract |
Provided is a cylindrical secondary battery capable of ensuring safety even when an external force accompanied by abrupt deformation is applied to a battery having a large capacity. A lithium ion secondary battery has a capacity of 14 Ah, and an upper lid is fixed to a battery can containing an electrode winding group. The upper lid has a diaphragm 2 in which a cleavage valve is formed, and an upper lid cap whose peripheral portion is fixed to the peripheral portion of the diaphragm 2. In the cleavage valve, a cleavage groove 8 having a V-shaped cross section is formed on the surface of the upper lid cap side of the diaphragm 2, and a U-shaped cross section is formed on the surface of the diaphragm 2 corresponding to the position of the cleavage groove 8. The cleavage groove 18 is formed. As the internal pressure rises, the diaphragm 2 is reversed to the upper lid cap side and the current is cut off. The force applied to the diaphragm 2 when an external force accompanied by a sudden deformation is applied easily concentrates on the cleavage groove 18. [Selection] Figure 3 |
