titleOfInvention | Induction of hair growth by macrophages |
abstract | An object of the present invention is to elucidate the mechanism of wound-induced hair growth and to induce hair growth based on the elucidated mechanism. Another object of the present invention is to obtain a substance capable of inducing hair growth. In this study, we found that ASK1-deficient (ASK1 -/- ) mice show a significant delay in wound-induced hair growth. We have also found that intradermal injection of macrophage cells themselves or the cytoplasmic fraction of macrophages induces hair growth in both wild type (WT) and ASK1 − / − mice. Based on these findings, the present inventors have completed the present invention. [Selection figure] None |
