In a power output apparatus including two electric motors and a transmission transmission means, both of the two electric motors are connected to a drive shaft by the transmission transmission means to continuously obtain a relatively large torque. In a hybrid vehicle, one of two motors MG1 and MG2 is traveled in a two-motor travel mode in which both a motor MG1 and MG2 are coupled to a drive shaft 67 by a transmission 60. Is determined as a main motor that preferentially outputs power (step S130), and the motor MG2 or MG1 serving as the main motor outputs power preferentially to the other motor MG1 or MG2 serving as the sub motor and is applied to the drive shaft 67. Torque commands Tm1 * and Tm2 * for motors MG1 and MG2 are set so that torque based on required torque Tr * is output (steps S140 to S150 or steps S180 to S200). [Selection] Figure 12 |
