Lubricant composition, reduction gear, and electric power steering device |
abstract |
An object of the present invention is to maintain a noise reduction effect over a long period of time when used for lubrication of meshing portions between gears in rolling contact. A lubricant composition is filled in a region including a meshing portion of a drive gear and a driven gear of a reduction gear. The lubricant composition includes a lubricating oil as a lubricant and buffer material particles having an average particle diameter in the range of 300 to 500 μm. By setting the average particle diameter of the buffer particles to 300 μm or more, there is a remarkable effect in reducing sliding noise. On the other hand, as the average particle diameter of the buffer material particles increases, the rattling noise increases. Therefore, the average particle diameter of the buffer material particles was set in the above range. [Selection] Figure 1 |
