abstract | A novel process for producing polyarylene is provided. The following (a), (b) and (c) are prepared in the presence of zinc using a zerovalent nickel catalyst prepared with 0.5 to 2 equivalents of magnesium with respect to (a). A method for producing a conjugated polymer comprising polymerizing a monomer containing an aromatic compound having two leaving groups capable of forming a C—C single bond.
