abstract A flat panel display device with increased luminance and a method for manufacturing the same are provided. In a flat panel display device including a light emitting unit and an electron emitting unit that emits electrons to the light emitting unit, the light emitting unit receives electrons emitted from the electron emitting unit. A fluorescent film 113 that emits visible light, a transparent front substrate 111 that transmits visible light emitted from the fluorescent film and projects visible light in front of the flat panel display device 100, and a fluorescent film and an electron emitting unit.
