titleOfInvention | Substrate for magnetic recording medium |
abstract | The present invention provides a magnetic recording medium substrate that prevents the magnetic recording medium substrate from being lifted in a cleaning step and can be cleaned satisfactorily. A magnetic recording medium substrate according to this embodiment has a disk shape and uses a resin as a base material. The specific gravity of the substrate is larger than the specific gravity of the cleaning agent used in the cleaning process. For example, the substrate is made to contain an inorganic filler and the specific gravity is set to 1.2 or more, or the specific gravity is set to 1.2 or more by forming a metal layer on the substrate surface. Thereby, since the magnetic recording medium substrate sinks in the cleaning agent, the magnetic recording medium substrate can be cleaned well. As a result, a magnetic recording medium substrate having a clean surface can be obtained. [Selection figure] None |
