abstract | Provided is a method for manufacturing a display device for an electrophoretic display device capable of easily manufacturing a structure in which movement of fine particles in an electrophoretic fluid is restricted, and the display device obtained by the method is used. Thus, an electrophoretic display device having excellent display quality is provided. The second substrate 6 corresponding to the left end of the filling portion 9 of the display device 1 has a supply diameter D2 larger than the diameter D1 of the droplet 26 of the electrophoretic fluid 10 in the emulsion 12, respectively. The second substrate 6 corresponding to the right end of the filling portion 9 is provided with a discharge port 15 having an opening diameter smaller than the diameter D1 of the droplet 26 of the electrophoretic fluid 10. Further, a distance D4 between the electrode 5 formed on the inner surface of the first substrate 4 of the filling portion 9 and the electrode 7 formed on the inner surface of the second substrate 6 is made smaller than the diameter D1 of the droplet.
