titleOfInvention | Liquid developer and image forming apparatus |
abstract | An object of the present invention is to provide a liquid developer that is excellent in storage stability and long-term stability, excellent in fixing properties of toner particles to a recording medium, and environmentally friendly, and preferably uses such a liquid developer. To provide an image forming apparatus capable of performing the above. A liquid developer according to the present invention is a liquid developer in which toner particles are dispersed in an insulating liquid, and the insulating liquid includes a fatty acid triglyceride and a fatty acid monoester. The component contains linoleic acid and a saturated fatty acid, and the fatty acid monoester contains an unsaturated fatty acid as the fatty acid component. The fatty acid triglyceride contained in the insulating liquid preferably contains 55 to 95 mol% of linoleic acid component and 5 to 50 mol% of saturated fatty acid component with respect to all fatty acid components.
