titleOfInvention Liquid crystal-containing composition and liquid crystal display element
abstract Disclosed is a liquid crystal-containing composition in which fluctuations in a threshold voltage that cause mutual transition of alignment are suppressed even when temperature changes, and a liquid crystal display device using the same. A is a liquid crystal-containing composition comprising a cholesteric liquid crystal having a helical pitch P 0 of the negative temperature dependency. By making the helical pitch P0 negative temperature dependence, the temperature dependence of [twisted orientation elastic coefficient k 22 / dielectric constant anisotropy Δε] is offset. For this reason, it becomes possible to suppress the threshold electric field strength Ec, that is, the temperature dependency of the threshold voltage. In addition, a liquid crystal display element comprising a pair of electrodes and the liquid crystal-containing composition sandwiched between the pair of electrodes. [Selection] Figure 4
