B cell malignancy treatment method using antagonist anti-CD40 antibody |
abstract |
The present invention relates to a therapeutic method for a B-cell malignant tumor. A therapeutic method for a B cell malignancy is provided. The method includes administering a therapeutically effective amount of an antagonist anti-CD40 antibody or antigen-binding fragment thereof to a patient in need thereof. An antagonist anti-CD40 antibody or antigen-binding fragment thereof does not have significant agonist activity when the antibody binds to CD40 antigen on human normal B cells, and the antibody binds to CD40 antigen on malignant human B cells. May exhibit antagonist activity and may exhibit antagonist activity when the antibody binds to the CD40 antigen on human normal B cells. Antagonist activity of an anti-CD40 antibody or antigen-binding fragment thereof beneficially inhibits proliferation and / or differentiation of malignant human B cells. [Selection figure] None |
