abstract To improve a developing solvent used in an immunochromatography method to prevent non-specific aggregation and non-specific reaction at the time of measurement, thereby enabling measurement with high accuracy. A developing solvent for immunochromatography, wherein a buffer solution contains a polymer having a phosphorylcholine group. The polymer is preferably contained at a concentration of 0.005 to 0.3 w / v%, and its number average molecular weight is preferably 40,000 or more. The polymer preferably contains 2-methacryloyloxyethyl phosphorylcholine as a constituent monomer, and even a homopolymer thereof is a copolymer with a hydrophobic ethylenically unsaturated monomer.
