[PROBLEMS] To use palladium acetate and 1,3-bis [bis (2-methoxy-5-methylphenyl) phosphino] propane, an acid having a pKa of 4 or less as a catalyst component, and add benzothiazole or benzophenone during polymerization. This provides a method for producing a polyketone with improved catalytic activity, intrinsic viscosity, and yield even under short polymerization time conditions. A catalyst includes (a) a group 9, 10 or 11 transition metal compound, (b) a ligand having a group 15 element, and (c) a pKa of 4 or less. It is an organometallic complex composed of an anion of an acid, and the component (b) is 1,3-bis [bis (2-methoxy-5-methylphenyl) phosphino] propane. [Selection figure] None |
