titleOfInvention Use of polyurethane that can be thermoplastically processed and medical articles
abstract Disclosed is a polyurethane useful for the manufacture of a catheter, a flexible tube, a blood bag, or a molded article for implantation. A polyurethane-forming component comprising essentially (A) an organic diisocyanate, (B) a linear hydroxyl-terminated polyol having a molecular weight of 500-10000, and (C) a chain extender having a molecular weight of 60-500. A polyurethane obtained by reaction, wherein during the reaction of (A), (B) and (C), 0.01 to 10% by weight of a pharmacologically active substance is added to the total amount of (D) starting material, The molar ratio of isocyanate reactive groups in (B) and (C) of NCO groups in A) is 0.9: 1 to 1.2: 1, and the molar ratio of (B) to (C) is 1: 1. A polyurethane having a molar ratio of (A) to (B) of 1.2: 1 to 30: 1 produces a catheter, a flexible tube, a blood bag or a molded body for implantation. Useful for. [Selection figure] None
