abstract |
The present invention provides a plant water retention carrier that has water retention comparable to that of a polyacrylate hydrogel and that does not substantially inhibit rooting or root elongation. A plant water retention carrier having a calcium ion absorption amount of less than 50 mg per gram of dry weight and having a water absorption rate of 100 times or more in ion-exchanged water (room temperature, 25 ° C.).
