None of the known products or systems disclose or suggest compliant magnetic products or suggest the need for such products. Disclosed is a magnetically compliant product (100) suitable for use on a traffic bearing surface comprising an organic binder (4) having dispersed magnetic particles (6). The product may be used in intelligent vehicle guidance systems and in systems for guiding other moving objects such as farm animals, pets or pedestrians with visual impairments. Also described is a method of manufacturing the product and a method of using the system to control and / or guide a moving object using a magnetic field generated from the product.
