abstract | An object of the present invention is to provide a method for producing an olefin polymer using a fluidized bed reactor, wherein the production of the olefin polymer is suppressed while suppressing the generation of lumps. An olefin and an olefin polymerization catalyst are supplied to a fluidized bed reactor having a gas dispersion plate therein, and a fluidized bed of solid particles containing the olefin polymerization catalyst is formed on the gas dispersion plate. A method for producing an olefin polymer, characterized in that the gas dispersion plate is a swirl type gas dispersion plate and the catalyst for olefin polymerization is supplied to the swirl region of the fluidized bed. .
