abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antitumor agent, a hyaluronidase inhibitor or a therapeutic agent for atopic dermatitis which uses fucoidan from an extract of seaweed as an active ingredient and uses its physiological activity. The present invention provides an antitumor agent, a hyaluronidase inhibitor, or a therapeutic agent for atopic dermatitis comprising fucoidan obtained from Nagacomb as an active ingredient. This fucoidan is obtained by extracting Nagacomb with a dilute hydrochloric acid aqueous solution. More specifically, after extracting Nagacomb with a dilute hydrochloric acid aqueous solution, a cetylpyridinium chloride complex polysaccharide is obtained, and this cetylpyridinium chloride complex polysaccharide is obtained. Any or all of the four fractions obtained by applying to a DEAE-Sepharose column. [Selection] Figure 1
