abstract The present invention provides a gel composition which is excellent in stability over time in a wide temperature range from low to high temperature, and has excellent detergency and washability after use. SOLUTION: (a) 40 to 90% by mass of oil component which is liquid at normal temperature, (b) POE alkyl ether, POE fatty acid ester, POE glycerin fatty acid ester, POE cured at normal temperature liquid or paste with HLB = 6-17 Castor oil and fatty acid ester thereof, POE sorbitan fatty acid ester, POE propylene glycol fatty acid ester and sorbitan fatty acid ester, 7 to 40% by mass of one or more nonionic surfactants, (c) organic modification A gel-like composition containing 1 to 12% by mass of clay mineral, (d) 0.5 to 10% by mass of water, and (e) 0.1 to 5% by mass of starch.
