abstract | Provided are a thermoelectric material, a thermoelectric element, and a method for producing a thermoelectric material that are excellent in stability of heat resistance and thermoelectric characteristics, and are excellent in mass productivity and simplicity. A first thermoelectric material 5 and a second thermoelectric material 6 are made of an oxide having a spinel crystal structure, which includes a single metal of Fe and Co, and has the same crystal system and configuration. The p-type and n-type conductivity types can be controlled by changing the composition of Fe and Co with the same main component of the elements. Thus, by using the same material of the same crystal system of spinel type and the main components of Fe and Co as the first thermoelectric material 5 and the second thermoelectric material 6, the heat resistance and the stability of the thermoelectric characteristics are excellent. In addition, a thermoelectric material, a thermoelectric element, and a method for manufacturing a thermoelectric material that are excellent in mass productivity and simplicity can be provided.
